The key here is to always make the shot way more difficult than it needs to be.
If you are charging for a layup, try a reverse 360 layup. Try more spinning
fade-away jumpshots. Anything that is inherently more trouble than the situation warrants.
Never shoot the ball, at least not in the traditional way. You need to push the ball. Put both hands on the ball and push it toward the goal.
If you are within ten (10) feet of the hoop, never jump. This gives the opponent a good chance at blocking your shot. If you are farther than 10 (ten) feet away, you should jump, but only if your feet hit your tush.
