Two views of a classic Swingline 3 stapler I restored to original specs

This is the slightly detailed and customized Swingline 747 I got when I was in High School. This was my first real stapler.

A rare piece of promotional material from the first generation of 747s, c. 1968. The claim of the "finest stapler in the world" comes from the 1968 Office Tools Expo, in Montreal, where the 747 took top honors in stapler design, endurance, and relay competitions. It was voted "Best Overall Stapler" edging out the then-favorite Bostitch 1120.
