Reference Works

An annotated bibliography and reference list of musical fictionWhile there are numerous individual examples of the rock fiction genre, there appears to only be a single printed reference work covering the topic. An Annotated Bibliography and Reference List of Musical Fiction, covers all genres of music in English-language novels from 1900 to the present. It has an initial listing by author, with short, single paragraph synopses of each novel, followed by separate subject indexes for adult, young adult and juvenile. Each of these indexes lists the relevant titles under different musical genres, including "rock/pop music" as well as even by specific instrument.
